All prints are printed on 100% cotton museum grade paper and acid free archival ink
Why is this important?
Normal paper made from trees contains impurities (specifically lignin) which will yellow and stiffen the paper over time. The paper stiffening will cause images to start to dry up and crack over a few decades. Most ink that is used is a dye, which contains acid. This acid starts to break down the ink itself causing shifts in color and starts to fade the images. This process is sped up when exposed to excess UV light such as the Sun. Most printing places use what is called “RC paper” which stands for Resin Coated which is a nice way to say plastic. This plastic sits on top of the paper which is why glossy paper is so shiny and finger prints show up so easily. With the paper I use, you get the look of a glossy print without it being reflective and picking up finger prints. Paper I use is made from cotton not trees so it does not have the lignin impurities and it does not yellow over time. The acid free ink I use is made from pigments instead of dye which won’t start to fade for 200 years. The quality of prints that I produce are unmatched and isnt something you can find even at most consumer professional print shops which is why the price of my prints are very expensive.
